Aparna Raikar, MD, is a board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine Physician with over 20 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in Primary Care, Immediate Care, Weight Loss, and Hospital Medicine. Dr. Raikar is known for her dedication, teamwork, and compassion in providing high-quality preventive care and medical weight loss treatments. She holds board certifications in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice in Virginia, DC, Maryland, and Georgia. Dr. Raikar is a multilingual professional with expertise in using the latest EMR technology. She earned her MD from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College in Mumbai, India, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), Towson MD which is affiliated to Johns Hopkins program. Additionally, she holds a Master’s in Health Care Management from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Throughout her career, Dr. Raikar has contributed to patient care through clinical practice, education, and research. Dr. Raikar is affiliated with professional organizations such as the Obesity Medicine Association, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
