Approach to Care

Colleen began her nursing career caring for patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she developed a deep appreciation for compassionate, patient-centered care. Inspired to expand her role, she became a Family Nurse Practitioner and has practiced as an FNP for more than 18 years.

Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about health promotion and disease prevention as well as recognizing that each patient is a unique individual with distinct needs, goals, and circumstances. Prior to primary care, she practiced in both retail health and pediatric settings, gaining valuable experience caring for diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

Today, she maintains a part-time clinical practice while dedicating her professional focus to health education. In this role, she works to improve health on a broader scale by supporting universities as they expand their graduate health professions programs beyond traditional campus settings. By helping institutions increase access to high-quality education, she contributes to the development of future health professionals who reach communities beyond her own office doors.

Colleen is commitment to improving health at both the individual and population levels—whether through direct patient care, health promotion, disease prevention, or the education and preparation of future healthcare professionals.
