Approach to Care

Dr. Abbas practices family care medicine with a special interest in preventive medicine, adolescent medicine, women’s health, musculoskeletal disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression. He is Board Certified by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), ECFMG, and Board Eligible Addiction Medicine. He did his residency in Community and Family Medicine, Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC and was a Research Assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Abbas was recognized as the Outstanding Resident of Howard University Hospital and Research and Quality Improvement Chief Resident there as well. He has published in the areas of Autoimmune Liver Diseases, Management of Dyslipidemia, Immunization, and the Management of Diabetes and Hypertension.
