Approach to Care
Dr. Abe is a board-certified family medicine physician passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care. He completed his family medicine residency at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA and previously practiced medicine in Japan.
Having grown up in the DMV and spent many years living abroad, Dr. Abe understands firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate an unfamiliar healthcare system. He is especially passionate about helping Japanese-speaking patients and families coming from Japan feel comfortable and support as they navigate healthcare in the United States.
Fluent in both English and Japanese, Dr. Abe is excited to return to the DMV and serve the community where he grew up. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
