Born, raised, and got all my education in Burma (now called Myanmar), including Medical Education in the Institute of Medicine (2), Rangoon, Burma. Graduated in 1973 from Medical School, practiced medicine in Burma, with United Nations Development Program in Sri Lanka, and also in Malaysia and Brunei for a total of nearly 20 years before immigrating to the USA in late 1992 together with family.
Did Internal Medicine Residency training in Woodhull Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, from 1993 till 1996, got Internal Medicine Board certification in 1996, joined a group practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 10 years.
Moved to Missouri to join St Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City In January 2006 and started a Hospitalist program there as Medical Director. In 2008 September moved to Maryland to work as Medical Director for the Hospitalist program in Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, Maryland. Then moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia, to work as Medical Director for the Hospitalist program.
In 2015, started OUCH Urgent Care as a Medical director in Elkridge, Maryland.
I have been recertified with ABIM twice, in 2006 and 2016.
Married and have two grown daughters who both live and work in Washington, DC.
